OPTIMA Announces Winners of Second-Annual OPTIMA Ultimate Film Festival

On November 2, 2016, OPTIMA Batteries named the winners of the OPTIMA Ultimate Film Festival at the SLS Las Vegas during the SEMA Show. Eric White won the Best Short Film category for his film, “Just Koz,” House of Kolor is a legendary name in the world of custom cars and this film shares how icon Jon Kosmoski built his legendary brand. The Best Action Cam award went to Andrew Laputka for his film, “Drift Van,” A Nissan cargo van. An empty parking lot. And one question. Will it Drift?

Dozens of films entered the second-annual film festival, which challenged enthusiasts across the nation to submit their most exciting and powerful performance automotive content. The winners were announced at the finale event hosted by Roadkill’s David Freiburger, during which more than 500 attendees voted for their favorite film in each category using text-to-vote technology. Each winner received a trophy, a prize pack and a leather jacket, plus their films will be featured in a one-hour special broadcast on MAVTV in 2017.
