With OPTIMA's introduction of the DH7 YELLOWTOP, we now offer a direct-fit battery upgrade for the Cadillac XT5. Conservatively-rated at 880 cold cranking amps, the OPTIMA DH7 YELLOWTOP offers far more cranking power than any XT5 owner will ever expect to need, but that's not really the number modern vehicle owners should be focusing on when shopping for a replacement battery.

The OPTIMA DH7 weighs in at 60.5 pounds, which is more than 10 pounds heavier than many flooded-lead acid H7 batteries (also referred to as 94R batteries).
We pack as many plates into each of our batteries as we can and we always use 99.99% pure virgin lead. We also use robust, cast straps to connect our cells, as opposed to the weaker tombstone welds found in most other batteries. Using pure lead and cast straps is more expensive, but we know it's the right way to make a battery that offers both maximum performance and maximum lifespan.
We also know battery performance and lifespan will be maximized when battery voltage is properly-maintained. In the case of our DH7 YELLOWTOP, fully-charged voltage is about 13.0-13.2 volts. We are so confident this is the case, we will add one additional year of free replacement warranty coverage on your OPTIMA battery, if you purchase it from us at the same time as one of our 1200-series battery chargers.
