With the introduction of OPTIMA's all-new ORANGETOP lithium batteries for motorcycles, we now offer a lightweight battery upgrade for the Ducati Mulistrada motorcycle. OPTIMA's QUAD12 ORANGETOP weighs in at just over 2 pounds, while offering 380 Pulse Hot Cranking Amps (PHCA), which should be more than enough power to turn over any Multistrada on the road today, but the ORANGETOP is also packed with a lot of other useful features not typically found in motorcycle batteries.
The ORANGETOP's integrated POWERLINK system allows you to remotely-mount a multifunctional dongle that indicates state of charge with an easy-to-read LED display. The POWERLINK system also allows you to remotely and easily connect an OPTIMA battery charger, like the D200+, to keep your battery topped off and ready to go. OPTIMA chargers are not required for use with ORANGETOP batteries, but any charger used on an ORANGETOP should have specific settings for lithium 12-volt batteries.
Finally, the POWERLINK system allows you to remotely put your battery into "sleep" mode, which is an added measure of security and safety, to keep your battery from getting discharged as your bike sits. Even if you don't remember to put your battery into sleep mode, all OPTIMA ORANGETOP batteries come with a CPR function, that will automatically disconnect your ORANGETOP from anything that is discharging the battery, before it gets discharged beyond the point that it can start your bike.
OPTIMA ORANGETOP batteries all come with an integrated BMS (Battery Management System), that automatically controls all aspects of current movement into and out of the battery, including cell balancing.
