If you're like anyone with a cell phone in the civilized world, you've probably received a call about your vehicle's extended warranty...even if you don't own a vehicle. If you do have a car and have wondered if your battery was covered by the extended warranty, those robocalls won't be able to give you an answer, but we can.
Car batteries are considered "wear & tear" items, like tires, brake pads and motor oil, so they are not typically covered by extended warranties. However, batteries do typically come with their own warranty coverage. All OPTIMA YELLOWTOP and REDTOP batteries come with three-year, free-replacement warranties in consumer applications. However, if you purchase one of those batteries (or a BLUETOP) directly from us and purchase a Digital 1200 Battery Charger from us at the same time, we will extend your battery warranty by a full year.
We are willing to provide extended warranty coverage on our batteries, because we know the best thing you can do to maximize the performance and lifespan of your battery is to keep it fully-charged whenever possible and the Digital 1200 does a great job of that on all 12-volt lead-acid batteries.
