OPTIMA's 2018 Search for the Ultimate Street Car, presented by Advance Auto Parts, descended on Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds, Alabama in early-August and competitors from around the country competed in six different classes, each one hoping to emerge victorious and with an invitation to the 2018 OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational in Las Vegas. This was the series' first visit to Barber Motorsports Park and it became an instant favorite for a lot of different reasons- a banked turn on the Detroit Speed Autocross, easily-accessible spectating of the PowerStop Brakes Speed Stop Challenge, an incredibly-manicured and well-kept facility that looks like someone dropped a racetrack on a country club golf course and a very challenging road course for the Falken Tire Road Course Time Trial.
