Sparky's Offroad Rally at the 2024 King of the Hammers

Last year, OPTIMA Batteries decided an offroad rally for EV and Hybrid 4WD owners would be a great way to introduce offroading and The Progressive King of the Hammers, powered by OPTIMA Batteries to an all-new group of enthusiasts. While some of these folks had extensive offroad and overlanding experience, many were hitting the trails around Johnson Valley for the first time. The event was so well-received, we decided to do it again in 2024 and add a second trail ride for Ford Bronco and Raptor owners, Sparky's Offroad Rally, presented by Lobo Off-Road and powered by OPTIMA Battieres.
There was a wide assortment of Broncos and Raptors participating and eagle-eyed Ford fans might even spot a pre-production Ford Ranger Raptor in this gallery below. Everyone in attendance agreed it was an outing well worth the trip and are looking forward to doing it again. It's hard not to come away with that feeling, when the entry fee included admission to the Progressive King of the Hammers, a free OPTIMA battery, three catered meals, complimentary camping spots at the OPTIMA Oasis, a poker run and raffle, unlimited use of the executive bathroom facilities in the Oasis and an awesome private concert, featuring Redneck Rodeo and the incredible Reverend Horton Heat!
Best of all, the group was able to travel to multiple locations along the course for the Toyo Desert Challenge and cheer on OPTIMA Batteries-sponsored Trophy Truck racer, Christopher Polvoorde, as he drove to victory in his Ford Trophy Truck, before joining everyone at the OPTIMA Oasis later in the evening for a victory celebration.
We still have one more offroad rally to go this week, as the EV & Hybrid owners return for a second year of OPTIMA Unplugged.
