The Heidt's Performance Car Challenge | 2011 OUSCI Qualifier Five

The fifth of seven known qualifying events for the 2011 OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational (OUSCI) was held at the Autobahn Country Club, in Joliet, Illinois. We say "known," because qualifying events such as the Heidt's event have been announced well in advance and were specifically mentioned as being qualifying events for the 2011 OUSCI. Obviously, we will have more than seven cars competing in this year's OUSCI, but when and where those cars are selected remains somewhat of a mystery.

We do want to give everyone interested in competing in the 2011 OUSCI an opportunity to qualify and events like the Heidt's Performance Car Challenge are a great way to punch your ticket. However, once this event passed, there were only two other known remaining chances to get selected for the 2011 OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational and that would be at either Holley's LS Fest II or Run Through the Hills. Once those events have concluded, much of the field will likely be set and only a handful of invitations will remain and likely be given out to cars at the 2011 SEMA Show. The bottom line is, if you are interested in competing in this year's event, time is running short, so get out there and compete!
