The Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is a gnarly event in ideal conditions- racing up the side of a 14,000-foot mountain through 156 turns, often with nothing keeping you from going over the edge other than grippy tires and sheer driving skill. Ideal conditions were not to be found during the 2021 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, but the race went on and OPTIMA Batteries' sponsored racer, Tanner Foust, captured the top spot, winning the Porsche Pikes Peak Trophy by Yokohama in a 2020 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport.
Other class winners included Robert Shute in Unlimited (and first overall), Romain Dumas in Time Attack 1, Paul Dallenbach in Open Wheel, Tanner's OPTIMA/Bbi teammate, Raphael Astier in Pikes Peak Open and Randy Pobst in Exhibition. Ride along in Tanner's Porsche, as it screams through the clouds and up the mountain!
